Q: I really want to help the Southeast
clean energy movement take hold in my state, how can
I help?
A: Recruit! Help get your school
and neighboring schools to Knoxville! Please see our
outreach e-mail & outreach packet and
send it to professors, students, organizations, and
any other relevant or interested parties. Don't forget
the word of mouth – all successful grassroots
movement occur cause people talk about them –
don't just e-mail, pick up the phone and start talking
about how amazing the weekend of April 7th –
9th 2006 will be! If you are in States TN, NC, SC, WV, LA, VA Email ssrec1@gmail.com If you are in States

Q: What is included in
the registration fee?
A: The registration fee includes the
conference activities, food, and housing with students
in Knoxville.
Q: Where will participants sleep?
A: The primary means of housing will be the students
of the University of Tennessee. If you have already
registered and DID NOT fill out the housing portion
of the registration form and need housing, please
email our Housing
Coordinator Dave Epley at depley@utk.edu.
Q: Is there a hotel close by if participants
choose?
A: Yes. You are welcome to make reservations
for yourself at the Holiday Inn which is located ~6
blocks from the conference site on campus or the Days
Inn which is ~5 blocks. We will be unable to provide
funding if you choose the Holiday Inn or Days Inn, but
many Universities have funds available for conference
housing and travel and we encourage you to acquire this
funding if it is available. Download our Travel
Tip Packet for more information on how to get funds
from your campus’s organizations, SGA, or College
Departments.

Q: What will be the best means of transportation
to Knoxville?
A: Car Pooling! It saves energy, saves polluting
emissions, and its fun! We encourage people to investigate
this early and create a plan so it is not a last minute
nightmare. Usually schools have "ride-share"
vehicles, or "car-pool" vehicles. Sometimes
it takes a certification class to drive a university
vehicle, these classes are typically once a month,
so plan ahead! Check out our support page for more information on how to get travel funds. Fill
up a university van and caravan to Knoxville with
neighboring schools in your state! Please contact
our Travel Coordinator
for caravan coordination so people in your state can
travel together.
“Knoxville or BUST!”
Q: Does Knoxville have
an airport? Will transportation be provided if I choose
to finance a flight for myself?
A: Yes, the Tyson McGhee
Airport code is: TYS. Though we recommend car-pooling
to save energy resources, if you do fly we will provide
travel to and from the airport for you IF you post
us on your travel schedule!
Q: What do I need to
bring for the weekend?
A: Your daily needs, bathroom toiletries, a sleeping
bag, your notebook, your thinking cap, your friends
and a smile! We also encourage you to bring a laptop, if you have one,
as we will be offering Presentation notes and other
materials in the form of CDs.
Q: I want to be prepared for the conference
so my school can get the most out of it and create
a winning campaign in the Spring of 2006!! Where do
I start?
Q: I had some specific
questions that I didn't find answered on the site. Where
do I go to find those answers?
A: You will hopefully find them right here. However,
if you don't please feel free to send us e-mail by
sending an e-mail to EnergyCon@utk.edu
Q: I work for a company who might
be interested in making a contribution to your cause.
Do you have any documentation that I could submit?
What items are you most interested in?
Q: Is this conference just for Southeast
students?
A: Yes, this is a Southeast conference. We are primarily
accepting students and youth, but realize that other
university and local community members play a vital
role in supporting youth clean energy efforts, and
welcome anyone who would like to come to register.
